Stack Description

Vitiligo (vit-ill-EYE-go ) is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin, the mucous membranes (tissues that line the inside of the mouth and nose and genital and rectal areas), and the retina (inner layer of the eyeball) are destroyed. As a result, white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. The hair that grows in areas affected by vitiligo usually turns white. http://www.antivitiligooil.com/vitiligo.html

Clinical Review about vitiligo

Irregular white patches when found have to be consulted with the Dermatologist for the confirmation of Vitiligo or not. One can not judge with his own consent without consultation with any Doctors or Dermatologists.

Cause of main reasons are not yet concluded either by any known Dermatologists, Ayuverdic Homeopathics or any medical professions. However, mostly discussed are based on following reasons:

Abnormal functioning of melanin cells that controls color of skin
De-pigmentation of cells – macules
Loosing of hair or turning into grey color and gradually become whitish
Total loss of melanin cells will spread into larger sizes and the whole body
Macule plays a vital role as it may remain with a single macule or hundreds of macules does not make any difference to have such developments of irregular white patches from a very tiny spot to a larger extent. Surprisingly, there are so many cases that the sun exposures will develop easily as the important protective cells of skin has been completely dried out or absence in those area of skin.
Conclusively, the developments of vitiligo is totally unpredictable whereas in normal cases it shows about more than 70% has been affected due to the sun’s exposure and the stability of vitiligo do not over rule either it can be slow in progression or fast.
